How does the Ecolining program deal with “old rubber pieces”?
Definition of “old rubber pieces”: these are the rubber or polyurethane pieces removed from steel with a certain wear rate, where reutilization is limited by their properties.
Definition of "non-technical pieces": these pieces are not exposed to demanding abrasion or impact conditions and are generally built using molds.
Recycling "old rubber" in Ecolining program: They are milled to a small particle size and then, through a pressing process with appropriate adhesives, a "non-technical" piece for light-duty applications is made.
Examples of non-technical pieces:
Speed reducers for low traffic speed streets
Soft tiles for playgrounds
Blends with asphalt-compounds for sport fields
